We put together a nice morning of fishing on good grade yellowfin tuna and wahoo in beautiful weather. We also caught a few yellowtail. With everyone having multiple wahoo and good grade tuna we are making a move and going to spend tomorrow focusing on yellowtail. TEAM RP

We departed yesterday on our annual 22 passenger limited load 7-day trip. Shortly after breakfast, Jonathan gave a fishing seminar and then the crew spent the rest of the day helping people get set up. Our weather is beautiful and the food has been outstanding. TEAM RP

We got off to a nice start and caught fish our first afternoon and then last night. The fish weighed 25-55 pounds and bit the flyline sardine during the day and the smaller jigs and Eddie bombs at night. TEAM RP

We ended up making a big move to get to another area and it paid off. We arrived late in the afternoon and were able to catch some  fly line fish before the sun went down. Twenty-five and thirty pound line with smaller hooks was working best. Once the sun went down we had good action…

Daytime remains tough but we did pick up one 140 pounder on a fly lined sardine. We also had a few attempts on the kite but never connected. Once it got dark we pretty much stopped on spots of fish all night long however landing what we hooked was a challenge. In the end we…

We departed yesterday morning on our annual Rick Allen / John Handy Invatational Charter. We enjoyed an awesome first night of bluefin tuna fishing. Most of the fish weighed 120 to 180 pounds with a few 40 to 60 pounders mixed in. The Eddie bombs and 180-gram jig para tungsten jigs we’re working well.TEAM RP

We returned this morning from another awesome 8-day trip. We successfully landed limits of yellowfin tuna and yellowtail. We also managed to reel in some nice bluefin tuna, grouper and pargo. Special thanks to John Collins for sponsoring the trip and to an enthusiastic group of passengers who made every moment memorable.

With our wells full of quality yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and a few exotics like grouper and pargo, we are currently working up to get in position to finish this trip off with bluefin. We will be up in the bluefin zone the evening of the 28th. TEAM RP
