Saying Good By

Hello everyone; Well things are about the same good tuna fishing, and no Wahoo. Weather continues to be excellent, with a slight breeze, lest than 10 knots, overcast skies, and warm. Most of the Yellowfin today were in the 90 to 120 range, with the lucky angler being Sam Raiter. Sam fish came on the kite, and it was a giant, coming in at 258 pounds. Way to go Sam.

It’s a sad day, we lost another fisherman. For those of you that fish long range, I’m sure you have heard of Jerry Brown and Line One spectra. I have known Jerry for many years, and he had a heart of gold. He was always giving good information, to help other anglers become better anglers. Jerry was the owner of line one spectra, which is still around making great catch of fish. Jerry will be missed, and the crew of the Royal Polaris, sends his family our prayers.

A short prayer for Jerry. The Fisherman’s Prayer, Lord I love the great outdoors, enjoying the great world of yours, a fisherman with countless dreams, of fishing in your lake and streams. I cast my lines, then cast my cares, and know you will answer all my prayers. I’ll catch a fish, and when I do, I’ll always give thanks to you. The ocean is full of dreams, that you make come true, I hope that I can be like the man from Galilee, who shared God’s love with everyone, and taught me how to be a fisherman. Give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he eats for the rest of his life. Jerry keep the rods bent in heaven, I’ll see you when I get there. Amen

So until tomorrow, wish us luck and may we all say a prayer for Jerry.
