August 14 – 21, 2010 7 day Fujimoto open

The ‘Fujimoto’ open 7 day fishing trip in 2010 will be the 17th annual trip which started in August 1993.  Originally started as a ‘5 day Memorial’ fishing trip to honor and remember Ken Fujimoto; a beloved brother and avid fisherman – his brother Keith continued to keep the special tradition to which this trip has evolved.  The Royal Polaris makes a ‘memorial’ stop on the leeward side of North Island at the Coronado Islands on the way out to the fishing grounds.  Each year Keith tosses flowers to the sea where Ken’s ashes were taken and scattered from this same boat in 1992.

Toasting, remembering and visiting this spot has become a tradition for a large number of returning passengers who are also invited to do the same for their own special ‘loved ones’ that were lost in the past.  All are sincerely encouraged (if they desire) to bring flowers and cherish their own memories.

Many of these passengers on this annual trip have been on every trip since its inception.  Others in later years continue to return to enjoy the camaraderie and experience of being part of a close and growing ‘memorial community’ each year.  We encourage you to consider the advantages and comfort of being around ‘good friends’ which continues to make this a truly fantastic, enjoyable trip.  Also consider the benefits that a 7 day trip can offer towards greater fishing opportunities – which only add to the overall experience on this world-class fishing boat.

Every passenger is given a custom embroidered cap to remember this annual trip and each day on the trip there are always free ‘goodies’ that are given out through random drawings of fish tags.  There will also be (3) $100.00 gift certificates for fish processing given out on random drawings.  Keith and the returning passengers truly look forward to meeting ‘new faces’ each year.  Come join us and see how a fun loving, enthusiastic group of fisherman (and women!) will add to your fishing experience!
