Hi folks;
Weather was overcast all day with 15 to 18 knots of breeze on our tail. We did a seminar on fishing Yellowfin tuna and anglers spent the rest of the day getting their gear ready. Most passengers also found time for a good movie. Blackwater and Nikaki/Tsujiuchi gave away some Blackwater tee-shirts and some fluorocarbon. All is well aboard as we continue south. The R/p crew.

Hi folks;
Our weather was a bit cold last night and early this morning, however by 10:00 hours it was quite sunny and definitely shorts weather.

We had a short seminar this morning on Wahoo fishing, making Wahoo bait leaders, and then on making all 3 kinds of kite leaders. Those who needed reels filled with spectra were also taken care of and the spectra was put on their reels properly. The crew helped passengers until 15:30 hours, and now most are watching a movie or taking a nap.

The Nikaki,Tsujiuchi, Blackwater, and YO's tackle sponsors also gave everyone a Raider jig and a 20/0 Circle hook for their flying fish leaders. We will try for Squid after dark to add to our present supply in the freezer. The R/p crew.

Hi folks;
We departed today at 10:00 hours on the Nakaki Tsujuichi 18 day ride down/fly back trip. This trip is sponsored by Blackwater fishing line and YO's tackle.

It took us awhile to get our bait today because we had to go to many receivers but what counts most is that we have a beautiful load of bait.

After clearing Point Loma we had a safety seminar and then Steve presented each passenger with a brand new custom made 670 Cal-star rod, a beautiful Blackwater vest and tee shirt. The rods were compliments of YO's tackle and Blackwater fishing line.

We are now headed South for Hurricane bank and crossing our fingers wishing for a very successful trip. If anyone is interested we have plenty of room on our next trip, departing April 20th on a 17 day ride down/ ride back voyage sponsored by Accurate reels and SDlongrange (Brandon Kreutel). There is also room on an 8 day trip leaving June 6th, sponsored by Okuma reels. Give Scotty or Andrea' a call at our office (619) 226-8030. The R/p crew

hello folks, once again we had beautiful weather. sunshine with very little wind. we do however, have a huge rolling south swell. fishing was on the slow side with only a couple handfuls of wahoo and only one of our tuna that we caught worthy of being mentioned. most of the rest were little guys. we will be trying tomorrow then we will begin heading home. rp

hello folks and good morning. today we had fantastic weather once again. clear blue skies, lots of sunshine and very calm seas. lots of sun block was needed by all. we had a good scratch on wahoo, most by way of the boat sitting on anchor. tuna fishing, however was tough and although we did land ten, we did not have any big ones for the day. we did witness something that none of us have ever seen before, what is it you ask. well lets begin with the angler, jerrry brown. while fishing a sardine he hooked into the behemoth. at first we thought a shark because of the sheer weight and the ease in which it took line off the reel. but this was not the case, and after 45 minutes or so, the most unlikely thing other than the chargers winning a game, came in into view. was it a shark? or a grouper? or a giant eel of some sort. this thing slithered like a snake in its movements, the head of a shark, the body and tail of a grouper! amazing, and so powerful ,we held it at the surface fo
r a good 45 seconds as it wrangled around and threw water high into the air before it won its freedom. the whole time i was asking everyone what the hell it was. someone said they had seen something on the discovery channel about a species called a mega mouth. i said oh it must be female! anyhow, we are going to look it up when we get back in. hopefully tomorrow brings bigger tuna. billy and the crew.

hello folks, we had a fun day of fishing with lots of great weather. we scratched away at the wahoo and caught several nice tuna. the biggest of which was caught by bob garber and weighed 175. we had an encouraging sign of fish right at dark , but our efforts would be for not as the toohy critters came out in full force to shut down any hopes of our afternoon rally. we will try again tomorrow. flyer fishing, surprisingly was very good, even with the moon blazing . this is the jerry brown sponsored trip, and in addition to some very nice giveaways, he is giving a cash prize of 100 dollars a day for the biggest fish throughout the trip. rp crew.
