Hello everyone;
Weather continues to improve, with overcast skies, and a slight breeze out of the northeast.
The weather was not the only thing to improve, we had a fair day of fishing on larger Yellowfin tuna. We had fish up to 274 pounds. If the sharks would give us a break, we could put together a excellent day. Wahoo continue to bite on the bank. Lucky anglers today, Roger Hawtree (190 pound Yellowfin tuna), Rocky Opliger (215 pound Yellowfin tuna), Keith "They Call Me Earl" Patterson (274 pound Yellowfin tuna), Steve Emmert (202 pound Yellowfin tuna), Paul Engle (180 pound Yellowfin tuna). Today winner for the Jerry Brown's line-one daily jackpot was Keith "They Call Me Earl" Patterson.
We are having a tough time getting flyer's tonight, but we will try again in the early morning hours. With that note, wish us luck and we will continue to report on our daily events.

Wahoo Take Over The Bank (042909) |

Hello everyone;
Weather continues to hamper us down here at Hurricane. We had 15 to 18 knots, with overcast skies, and a bit of a chill in the air. The cool air didn't stop the Wahoo from biting.
We had a fair day on the Wahoo, but the Yellowfin still have lock-jaw, and the one's we do hook, its a hit and miss, due to the sharks. We did have a couple of fish over the 200 pound mark. Top angler today was Roger Hawtree, with a 209 pound Yellowfin tuna. Phil Faubert was a close second with a 205 pound Yellowfin tuna. We had a couple of fish in the 180 to 200 pound class taken by the sharks. It's tough fishing for tuna, but we are giving it the old college try. Kathy Rounds and Rocky Opliger caught the only bait fish today, both fish were in the 130 pound class.
We are hoping things will get better tomorrow, so wish us luck, and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
We would like to thank the following for all the prizes, gifts, and certificates.
1. Jerry Brown Line-one Spectra for the daily jackpot certificates ($100.00) for the largest Yellowfin caught over 100 pounds.

5. BHP Tackle
6. Owner Hooks
7. SDLongrange.com (Brandon Kreutel)

Hello everyone;
Things out here are still the same, windy and slow fishing. We see good signs of fish, but no cooperation at this time.
We did catch a fish over the 200 pound mark today. Lucky anger was Phil Faubert, with a 225 pound Yellowfin tuna. Kathy Rounds was also luck with two fish over 100 pounds today, one on the kite, the other was on the Sardine.
With good signs showing up on the bank, we are hoping things will turn around tomorrow. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Sharks attack Simada (042709) |

Hello everyone;
I wish that I could tell you that the weather was beautiful, and the Yellowfin are biting, but that's not the case. Weather was 15 to 18 knots of breeze, clear skies, and warm.
Fishing today was very poor, with only a few Yellowfin and Wahoo caught. The Sharks were a big problem today. When they weren't eating your bait, then the were taking a bite out of your Yellowfin or Wahoo. It was a very tough day.
After dinner we pulled our anchor and made a few tanks of bait, hoping that things will change with live flyer's. Until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be good for traveling south. Clear skies, with 15 to 18 knots of wind, but very comfortable going south. We made a brief stop at Alijos Rocks. We caught enough Yellowtail for a lunch, and we are now headed for Hurricane bank. Most of the Yellowtail were in the 12 to 15 pound catogory, with one fish going over 20 pounds. Largest Yellowtail was caught by Jim Mitchell. We will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be excellent with flat seas, overcast skies. We had our first seminar, and it was on what leaders to make. The crew was very busy today, helping passengers with all there kite leaders. We are about 55 miles from Alijos rocks (0200 hours), and we will stop and try our luck at some quality Yellowtail. We will try to get a few for lunch, the back on the move to the bank. So with that note, wish us luck. The R/p crew.
