Hello everyone, weather continues to be very good. Overcast skies, flat seas, with a slight breeze in the afternoon. We arrived to our fishing destination around 09:00 hours.
Wahoo-Willie, HI's Representative gave away some door prize's today, with two lucky anglers getting a pair of sunglasses and a nice tackle bag. But everyone received a tee-shirt and a pack of hooks.
Once we arrived, it was hit and miss most of the morning, but by lunch time we had started to pick away at some nice Yellowfin tuna. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 18 to 30 pound category. It was a scratchy pick today, but we manage to pick away a few nice fish. We did our best on kelps. We did catch a few Bluefin and Yellowtail also.
We are now headed to Cedros island, in hopes of catching some quality Yellowtail, and may be get lucky and catch a few Halibuts. So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone, weather today was wonderful. We had overcast skies, with flat seas, and no wind. Our morning started out with a bang.
Our first stop of the morning was at 07:15, and boy did they bite. It was like someone had opened the flood gates. Most of the Albacore were in the 18 to 25 pound category, but a few would go over 30. Once the smoke had cleared, we would put 32 longfins in the hole. Things started to look very good, with lots of life around us.
As the day went on, so did our fishing. The bite would slow down by lunch, so Billy made the decision to make a move to the south and try our luck at Bluefin and Yellowfin. We would find a good spot of Bluefin, but that's all they gave us, the fin. It was a nice spot of 30 to 40 pound fish. The would jump around the boat, but they were all show and no go.
In the late afternoon, we would fish under kelps, but we would only land a few Yellowtail, the tuna just wouldn't get busy for us. So tomorrow brings us another day. We would end up with 50 Albacore, and a few Yellowtail. So wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone, well we departed Fisherman's landing at 11:00 hours, with 36 passengers. This is HI's 5 day long-range adventure. Billy Santiago well be at the helm this trip. We have a very good load of bait, and we are headed for points southwest. Our weather if just wonderful for this type of fishing. We had a slight breeze for the first few hours, but by bite time, it was flat sea's for all.
We arrived to the fishing grounds in the late afternoon. It didn't take long to boat our first fish. It was a nice 25 pound Yellowtail, off a kelp paddy. It was a good start to let our passengers get us to how we do it on the R/p. We would have many more stops before it was first call for dinner. We would end up with 27 Albacore in the 18 to 30 pound range, and a handful of Yellowtail. The Yellowtail were in the 18 to 25 pound category.
So with a good sign of fish, we will stick around this area and hope for a morning bite, so wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello again everyone, well after reporting in yesterday we tried some halibut fishing along the beach and we were able to pick up nine nice ones and a few more quality yellows and some surface iron calicos. Today we tried offshore for a bit and moved in for a few reds before having to call it a trip. The rest of the day was used for breaking down gear and cleaning up the boat for our next Hi's five day. Our ETA at the landing is around 0600.
See Ya,
J

Hello again everyone out there. Our group had yet another day of excellent Yellowtail fishing. We are enjoying beautiful weather here in the lee of Cedros, trying for halibut or white sea bass. Tonight we'll start heading up the line and and have few hours to do some looking around before calling it a trip. Willy from Hi's recommends a good supply of yo-yo irons for the next group.

Hi folks, today we enjoyed excellent limit-style Yellowtail fishing at Cedros Island. The grade of the fish today was 15-25 lbs with a few pushing 30 lbs. We caught them on a variety of methods, fly-line, dropper loop , egg-sinker, yo-yo and the surface iron. We also had a nice bonus halibut. We going to try for some more halibut this afternoon in the lee of the island.
PS Lucas and Wyatt ( Dad and Pappy) say hello and they are having a great time.

We started of this morning with a nice jig stop on the Yellowfin in the 18-22 lb range, they boiled up around the boat and swam away. We also had a handful of nice yellows on the kelps and released some smaller ones. We called it a trip around noon and are currently heading up the line in nice weather. Our ETA at Fisherman's Landing tomorrow is around 0700, and we will be taking off with a new group on the second of HI's tackle 5-day trips.
