What a day (081808)
Written by Royal Polaris

Hello everyone;
Weather today was gorgeous. Flat seas, clear skies, and very warm. It was 80 degrees air temp, with a 81.75 degrees water temp. So you could say it was a wonderful day. The weather was not the only thing that heated up.

Fishing today could not get any better. We had limits of Yellowtail and Dorado. The Yellowtail were in the 12 to 15 pound range, with a few going over 20 pounds. The Dorado were in the 6 to 8 pound range, with a few going to 15 pounds. We had bent rods all day long. We started heading north around 17:00 hours and we will fish in the San Roque area tomorrow. So with that note, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Our weather continues to be wonderful, with a slight breeze out of the northwest and all the sunshine you could ask for. On our way south we stopped on a few kelp paddy's, some had small Yellowtail, while others did pay off some dividends, with Dorado in the 8 to 12 pound catogory. We arrived to San Benitos Island around 17:30 hours, and we did catch a few Yellows. Most of the fish were in the 15 to 18 pound range, with a few going over 20 pounds. We pulled our anchor and started heading south once again, destination unknown.

Tomorrow, we will tell you where we ended up. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew (Roy, Dharyl, Billy, Jesus, Aaron, Rafeal, Anthony, and Bill).

Hello everyone;
We departed on our 5 day Fujimoto open at 12:00 hours. We have a decent load of bait and we are headed for points south. Roy Rose at the helm this trip, so stay tune for our daily report.

We made a brief stop at the Coronado Islands (north island) to say a few words for our departed fisherman. Roy gave a seminar on what we will be doing for the next 4 days of fishing. The crew went right to work getting everyone ready for battle. We had a one stop for a Yellowfin tuna, but that was it for today. So until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew (Roy, Dharyl, Billy, Jesus, Aaron, Rafeal, Anthony, and Bill).

Hi folks;
Well another one for the books. We have great weather, flat seas, clear skies, and a slight chill in the air. We made a few drifts for Rockfish, and then we called it a trip. We like to think everyone from Blackwater for making this another great adventure. We like to also thank Tracy and Don Kuroye for all the great gifts. Remember this will be an open trip next year and it will fill fast. We should arrive to Fisherman's landing between 07:30 and 08:00 hours. If you want to see a great catch, come on down. Until tomorrow, good luck and good fishing.

Hi folks;
We had a beautiful ride from Alijos to Cedros. We arrived there at 11:15 and spent the day fishing the lee of the island. We picked up 25 premium Yellows for our efforts and released lots of Bonito and log Barracuda. We spent the end of the day catching a few reds.

Tomorrow we will be doing some bottom fishing and then head for home. Our passengers are totally pleased, worn out and ready to go home. The R/p crew.

Hi everyone;
Weather on the ocean today was absolutely beautiful. Just enough breeze to cause a ripple on the water and plenty of sunshine.

This morning we caught 15 Yellowtail, 12 Wahoo and 2 Grouper. The current finally got right a about 11:30 hours and the action started on the 50 to 105 pound Yellowfin tuna. We kept 5 to 8 fish going for about 4 hours, until I asked our group to stop fishing. We left Alijos at 16:00 hours and now headed for Cedros island.

For those of you interested in this 7 day trip next year, it will be an open party trip sponsored by Don Kuroy and Blackwater fishing line. It will be a 7 day trip limited to 26 passengers at $2800.00. Don Kuroye has reserved 6 sports, so thee are 20 spots left. If you are interested, please call Scotty or Andrea' at (619) 226-8030. Enjoy Big "D's" photos. The R/p crew.

Hi folks;
Weather at Alijos Rocks today consisted of 12 knots of breeze and plenty of sunshine.

Fishing was absolutely sensational. We started the morning with about 15 Yellowtail and one 60 pound Yellowfin tuna for the 3 or 4 guys that were fishing. After breakfast we trolled around and picked up 13 Wahoo.

We anchored up to fish tuna about 09:00 hours and we left at 16:00 hours. We left because our passengers could not pull on fish any longer. We had 8 fish from 105 pounds to about 135 pounds. We had lots of fish from 50 to 80 pounds, and also some in the 20 to 25 pound catogory.

In the late afternoon we fished Grouper and caught 2 good ones. We also picked up a couple more Wahoo. Tomorrow we will fish Grouper and Wahoo in the morning and then fish tuna for a few hours and probable leave Alijos around 15:00 hours.

Please note that we have 2 seven day trips coming to Alijos rocks in early September. The Newell 7 day has 4 openings and the YO's 7 days has 2 openings. Call Scotty or Andrea' if you are interested. The R/p crew.

P.S. Anyone that has been to YO's tackle shop, knows Jimmy Lew. Well today Jimmy was making some top-shot leaders and glued his hands together. So Big D know what to do, but his new name is now Jimmy Glue.
