We arrived at the 13 fathom at 11:30 hours. We had good scratching on 30 to 40 pound Yellowfin tuna, Yellowtail in the 12 to 14 pound catogory, a few nice Dorado, 2 Wahoo, and 3 Grouper.

tomorrow morning we will be on the 23 fathom bank hoping to catch some Wahoo. Wish us luck please. Our weather continues to be warm and beautiful. Frank and the R/p crew.

Busy Day (110708)

Hi everyone;
Our weather is excellent and after a great breakfast we had an in dept seminar on the fishing to be done this trip. After the seminar, Harold Davis and Mike Stanton gave all passengers T-shirts, Wahoo bombs and other tackle gifts.

Our crew spent several hours, teaching all how to tie different knots and helping all passengers prepare for the fishing we will do the next few days. It is an excellent group of folks and even though we have not fished yet, they appear to be having fun.

We will arrive at the 13 fathom spot at 10:00 hours, Saturday morning. Frank and the R/p crew.

Another Great Day of Fishing

Hello Everyone,
We enjoyed another great day of Yellowfin tuna fishing again today. We spent most of the day anchored up and catching fish. Along with the tuna, we also had good Yellowtail fishing, a handful of Dorado, and even a couple of Wahoo too. Our weather was beautiful again today with lots of sun and about 10 knots of breeze. Tonight we will make a move in hopes of finding more Wahoo and Dorado. Wish us luck.

Rough Weather

Hello Everyone,
It was a completely different ocean today as our weather changed drastically. Our morning started out with fair seas and about 10 knots of breeze. But by early afternoon we had 20 plus knots and a confused sea that made fishing fairly difficult. We did manage a couple of yellows, but other than that it was a very slow day on the fishing side of things. After dinner we were able to make a beautiful tank of mackerel that we hope to put to use tomorrow. Wish us luck.

Traveling South

Hello Everyone,
We enjoyed beautiful weather today as we cruised southbound. Most of our day was spent traveling, but we did make time this afternoon to stop and try for some rockfish for the galley. After a handful of drifts we were able to catch plenty for a nice meal, and even managed one beautiful grade 30lb grouper. Tonight we are continuing farther south, where tomorrow will we try for Wahoo and Tuna. Wish us luck.

Steady Action

Hello Everyone,
We had another stellar day of fishing today complete with flat calm weather and lots of biting fish. The outside temperature cooled off just a bit with slightly overcast skies that made fishing today quite comfortable. The action started early this morning and continued throughout the day with Yellowfin making up most of our catch. All of the tuna today were a great grade with most of the fish going 30-40 lbs and a couple even pushing the 45-50 lb class. To spice things up we also had wahoo, yellowtail, and pargo to round out our catch. Tomorrow we plan to try and do it all again in the same area. Wish us lots of luck.

Picking Away

Hello Everyone,
Our weather changed a bit today as the wind picked up and the clouds vanished. Fishing slowed a bit as well but we still managed to put together a nice catch for our day. We spent most of the day on the anchor picking ones and twos on the Yellowfin. The fish all remain the same great grade 30-40lbers. We also had a few Yellowtail and Dorado thrown into the mix to keep things interesting. The fresh well is now open and we hope to start filling it up tomorrow. Wish us luck.
