Hello everyone;
During the night Roy made the decision to make a short stop at Clarion buffer zone. After we cleared the camp, we headed offshore, and it didn't take long to find some bitting fish. It was not a wide open bite, but we had lots of fun. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 40 to 50 pound range, with a few of the 100 pound mark.
Weather today was just gorgeous, flat seas, clear skies, and hot. To go along with the great weather, there was just lots of life at the island, Humpbacks, Dolphin, and lots of birds. We are now headed for the beach, where we will spend our last two days of fishing. So wish us luck, the R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Our weather today was beautiful, with clear skies, flat seas, and warm. The weather was the only thing that was good today. We had another slow day on the bank, and lot's of company. With the commercial boats and us, and the fish feeding deep, it was time to make a move. We departed the bank at 16:00 hours and we are now headed for the beach. With only a handful of Yellowfin and most of them being female's (the smaller of the species), Roy made the decision to make the move. We will keep you posted on our events, so wish us luck. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Our weather today was just gorgeous, with clear skies, flat seas, and warm. We had just enough wind to keep the kites up.
Our morning started with a bang, with 6 fish going, all good one's. We would only land 3 of the 6 fish hooked. It's hard for me to believe that someone could pull that 20/0 mustad circle hook, but it happened. We only caught on fish over the 200 pound mark. Lucky angler today was Steve George (206 pound Yellowfin tuna). Most of the Yellowfin were in the 140 to 180 pound catogory. We only caught a handful of Wahoo, but we are hoping that will turn on any day. We had excellent bait fishing last night, and we are hoping we can put them to use tomorrow morning.
With 3 days left, we are still hoping that the big one's will make a showing for us. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Our weather continues to get better each day. We had 10 to 12 knots of wind, overcast skies, and warm.
We didn't have the showing of giants this morning, but we scratched a decent day. We had decent Wahoo action, with most of the skinny coming on live Sardine, on 27 to 44 pound wire leaders. Largest Yellowfin caught today was by Jerry Brown (198. 6 pound Yellowfin tuna). We still have 4 full days of fishing left. It was a tough night making Flying fish, but we made a tank. So until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Our weather has changed for the better. We had 12 to 15 knots of breeze, with slightly overcast skies, and warm (no rain today).
Fishing has improved some, with larger size Yellowfin making a showing in the early morning hours. We had 4 fish over 200 pounds hit the deck before 07:00 hours. Now that's the way to start the morning. We would scratch most of the day, and would end up with a fair day. We had a total of 5 fish over 200 pounds caught today. Lucky anglers, Dan Gaudy (208 pound Yellowfin tuna), Frank Harbin (213 pound Yellowfin tuna), Steve George (217 pound Yellowfin tuna), Steve Oba (210 pound Yellowfin tuna), and Art Yoshida (201 pound Yellowfin tuna). All the other Yellowfin caught were in the 140 to 190 pound catogory, with only 2 fish caught under 100 pounds. The Wahoo made a show, with a handful caught on bait.
It was slow making flyer's last night, and tonight was not any better. We will try again in the early morning hours, so wish us luck. We will keep you posted on our daily events aboard the Royal Polaris.
P.S. Steve Oba would like to wish us wife Karen, a happy birthday.

Hello everyone;
Our weather continues to be a bit of a challenge. We had 22 to 25 knots of wind, overcast skies, and rain on and off most of the day.
We had a much better day today, with fish up to 260 pounds. We did have a few heartbreaks. Most of the fish were in the 140 to 180 catogory, with 3 fish going over 200 pounds. Lucky anglers today, Joe Amagrande (260 pound Yellowfin tuna), Joe McBride (229 pound Yellowfin tuna), Bob "Speedy" Garber (209 pound Yellowfin tuna). It was tough making Flying fish tonight, but we are hoping they will show up around the boat later. Until tomorrow, wish us luck, the R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be windy, overcast skies, and some rain. We continue to scratch away at the Yellowfin tuna, but the Wahoo were a no-show today. We caught two fish over 200 pounds. Lucky anglers today, Bob Garber (206 pound Yellowfin tuna), Steve Oba (218 pound Yellowfin tuna). Most of the other Yellowfin were in the 140 to 190 pound catogory.
It didn't take long to make a couple tanks of bait, and we are now sitting on the anchor. We hope for a better day tomorrow. Wish us luck, the R/p crew.

Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be windy, with 12 to 15 knots, overcast skies, and some rain. With very little current today, fishing was on the slow side. We had good current in the morning, but by late afternoon, it was back to slow moving. We scratched most of the day, with one fish over 200 pounds, with the rest in the 130 to 180 pound catogory. Big fish honors today goes to Frank Harbin (211 pound Yellowfin tuna). On the bright side, two of our new passengers getting there personnel best, Jim Tallerico (168 pound Yellowfin tuna) and Warren Myers (187 pound Yellowfin tuna).
It was about 50/50 for bites today, with half the fish coming on the kite. With two tanks open, the crew was very busy tonight making flyer's. Until tomorrow wish us luck. The R/p crew.
