Good signs for tomorrow (032009)

Hello everyone;

We had another great day of weather and fishing. We had a slight breeze out of the northeast, with overcast skies, and warm. The weather was not the only thing that was heating up. We had another excellent day of Wahoo and Yellowfin tuna fishing.

The bite started out early in the morning, with the kite's going off. With the bite going, we would have many heartbreaks. We had a few fish lost to hooks not holding, the mono pulling out of the connection, the hook turning back into the flying fish, but that's why we call it fishing, and not catching. With all the bad luck we had today, we still had an excellent day of fishing. We would end up with 25 Wahoo and 25 Yellowfin tuna. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 80 to 110 pound catogory, with a few larger one's.

The winner's of Jerry Brown's line-one daily prizes, Tom Blohm with a 218 pound Yellowfin tuna, and Vince Biondo with his limit (daily limit) of Wahoo by lunch. We made two tanks of Flying fish, and we are hoping the big one's will show again in the morning. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Excellent Day Of Fishing (031909)
Written by Royal Polaris

Hello everyone;

We arrived to the fishing grounds around 09:00 hours. It didn't take long for the Wahoo to start bitting. Many of our anglers would catch there daily limits of Wahoo today (5 Wahoo is the daily limit). This is a good start to our trip.

Weather today was just beautiful, with overcast skies, a slight breeze, and warm.

It didn't take long for the Yellowfin to start bitting. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 80 to 120 pound range, with a few larger one's. We had one fish over the 200 pound mark. We would also continue to catch Wahoo on the anchor. Lucky angler today was Steve Tritten. Steve is not new to long-range fishing, but this is his first long trip.

Today was the start of Jerry Brown's special daily prizes. Steve Tritten would win the daily JB lineone prize with a 221 pound Yellowfin tuna. Jerry is giving away $100.00 a day for the largest fish over a 100 pounds. Don Burnside would win the daily Wahoo prize (a Royal Polaris sweatshirt).

Anthony prepared an excellent dinner tonight. We had rack of lamb, and it was to die for. After dinner we had a few people try there luck at fishing. Don Burnside would get a nice Yellowfin (150 pounds) on a white Crocodile. We made a tank of Flying fish, and then called it a night. So until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew.

It's Time to get busy (031909)

Hello everyone:

Today was our last day of prep. Tomorrow morning we should arrive to our destination around 08:00 hours. Most of the day was spent doing the finial prep of tackle. All aboard look forward to pulling on some giants tomorrow.

Weather today was just gorgeous, with flat seas, clear skies, and warm. It's time to put on the shorts and tee-shirts. We had one tank of bait that's not doing well, but the rest of our bait looks excellent. So wish us luck on the bait, and we hope to have some pictures of happy angler's tomorrow. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;

Weather continues to be excellent, moving south. We had flat seas, clear skies, just perfect for traveling.

The crew was busy again, getting everyone ready to do battle. Most of the day was getting rigged for Wahoo fishing. With only 18 passengers, the crew could spend most of it's time helping our first timers. With that note, we will post again tomorrow. The R/p crew.

Hi folks;

It has been quite a busy day, with lots of preparation for arrival at the fishing grounds wherever that may be. After a short seminar this morning the crew assisted passengers with top-shots of fluorocarbon, making squid kite leaders, flying fish leaders and every other kind of rigging imaginable.

Once the smoke had cleared, most of our passenger's told stories from past trip, while others just read. Tonight we will stop for a while and try for Squid. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;

We are back to fishing. We departed today at 10:15 hours from Fisherman's landing. We have a great load of bait, and 18 happy anglers. Billy Santiago will be at the helm this trip, and we are headed for points south. We have reports from the boat down south, and it's sound like good fishing ahead for our anglers.

This is our annual Jerry Brown's 18/18 charter. Jerry has provided some great prizes for the trip, with daily prizes for the first and largest fish of the day. Jerry has also put a bounty on the first 400 pound Yellowfin tuna caught on his line. We will give you more information on that later in the trip. With that note, we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew (Billy, Dharyl, Eddie, Rafael, Jim, John, James, and Anthony)

Hello everyone;

The only thing that we are reporting today is our weather. We have a stiff breeze out of the northwest at 20 to 25 knots, with seas 7 to 10 feet. It has slowed us down a bit, and our ETA to Fisherman's landing should be around 13:00 hours. For any changes call our office in the morning. The R/p crew.
