Hello everyone;

Our weather is just gorgeous, with flat seas, clear skies and warm. We had excellent fishing in the morning, but by the afternoon, things had cooled off. The fish are still around, they just have lock-jaw. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 150 to 180 range, no 200 pound Yellowfin today. We are on the move, and we will report more tomorrow, but until then good luck and good fishing. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;

We had excellent weather today, with flat seas, clear skies, a very warm. Today was a sunblock day. The weather was not the only thing that was heated today. We had excellent Yellowfin tuna fishing, with fish in the 140 to over 200 pound catogory, with most in the 175 to 190 range. We saw excellent signs of Yellowfin tuna today, and we will spend our final day here hoping to get a few more 200 pound Yellowfin tuna. Today was the first day we didn't catch a Wahoo, so no Wahoo jackpot today.

Lucky angler today was Nick Truscott, with a 227 pound Yellowfin tuna, and he had another one at 205 pounds. Nick is the winner of the daily Jerry Brown jackpot, with his 227 pound tuna. We made a couple tanks of Flyer's, so with that note, wish us luck. The R/p crew.

Trying to figure it out !!! (032609)

Hello everyone;

Weather out here is just wonderful. Flat seas, clear skies, and warm. Our day started out good, but went south from that point. We had 4 fish in the dark, up-to 185 pounds, but then the Yellowfin played hard to get. The Wahoo fishing was excellent once again, as then keep our anglers busy most of the day, but were a pest on the kite. We ended up with 12 Yellowfin tuna and 21 Wahoo for the day.

Todays winner of the Jerry Brown's line-one jackpot was Gene Coombs with a 185 pound Yellowfin tuna, and no winner today on the Wahoo daily limit prize. So we look forward to what tomorrow brings. The R/p crew.

Yellowfin starting to show
Written by Royal Polaris

Hello everyone;

Things are starting to pick up once again on the fishing grounds. We have excellent weather, as well as the fishing. We had an excellent day of fishing on Yellowfin tuna and Wahoo. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 140 to 190 pound catogory, with 3 fish over 200 pounds. Lucky anglers today, with fish over 200 pounds, Seiji Iwamura ( 226 pound Yellowfin tuna), Rob Smyth (217 pound Yellowfin tuna), and David Fay (234 pound Yellowfin tuna). David was also the winner of the Jerry Brown's line-one daily jackpot with his 234 pound Yellowfin tuna. Rob Smyth also was the winner of the Wahoo jackpot today, with his limit of Wahoo (5 fish daily limit).

We ended up with 25 Yellowfin tuna and 18 Wahoo. Most of the anglers are focusing on the Yellowfin tuna, than Wahoo. We made our tanks of flyers. We still have 3 full days of fishing left. Wish us luck, the R/p crew.

There would be days like this (032409)

Hello everyone;

Things are changing. We had a change in our weather with 8 to 10 knots of breeze, clear skies, and warm. The day heated up, but the fishing cooled off. We had a very slow day on Yellowfin tuna, but around 18:30 hours, things turned on. We had good Wahoo fishing throughout the day, all on the anchor. The tuna did bite until the sun went down, then it was like someone turned on the bite switch.

We had our first double winner on the Jerry Brown's line one jackpot. Bob Wolfson was the winner of both Wahoo and largest Yellowfin of the day. Bob's fish didn't go over 200 pounds, but it was a beautiful fish at 197 pounds. Most of the Yellowfin today were in the 60 to 80 pound range, but all the fish in the dark were in the 140 to 197 pound catogory. We ended up with 14 Yellowfin and 32 Wahoo.

We made our flyer's and then called it a night. With that note, wish us luck. The R/p crew.

The other lucky angler's for fish over 200 pounds, Bob Wolfson, a 203 pound Yellowfin tuna, and Gene Coombs with a possible 207 pound Yellowfin tuna, we tried to weigh the fish, but we were drifting and the boat as a bit rocky

We made another few tanks of flyer's, and look forward to another great day. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone;

Our weather has changed, but the fishing continues to be excellent. We had a northeast breeze at 15 to 18 knots, with overcast skies, with a chill in the air.

The weather didn't change the fishing, we had excellent fishing today, with a few fish coming on the Frenzy Flyer. We had an excellent day today, with 40 Yellowfin tuna, and 12 Wahoo. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 110 to 140 pound catogory, but we did have 4 fish over 200 pounds. Lucky anglers today, Frank Matsuhara with a 224 pound Yellowfin tuna, Frank Harbin with a 207 and a 218 pound Yellowfin tuna, and last but not least, Vince Biondo with a 210 pound Yellowfin tuna. Frank Matsuhara was the winner of the Jerry Brown's line one daily jackpot, with his 224 pound Yellowfin tuna. The Wahoo action as slowed a bit, but we did add 12 to our count.

We made two tanks of flyer's, and look forward to tomorrows fishing. Wish us luck, the R/p crew.

Things are heating up (032109)

Hello everyone;

Our weather continues to be gorgeous, with a slight breeze out of the northeast, and very little sea. It was a great day to be fishing.

Before we started our morning, we had a pleasant surprise. We started catching cosonaro. These are a small jack, and they are excellent bait.

The morning started out slow, but as the progressed, the fishing heated up for us. When first call for lunch was called, the cow's came a running. We had giants boiling around the boat. We would keep fish going for the next 3 hours. Most of the fish were in the 140 to 160 range, with a few smaller one's, but we did land 2 fish over 200 pounds during that bite.

Lucky anger today for the Jerry Brown line-one daily jackpot, Bob Wolfson, with a 248 pound Yellowfin tuna, but that was not the largest fish caught today. Chuck Thomeczek was the luck angler today with a 288 pound Yellowfin tuna. We didn't have a Wahoo limit today, so no one won the Wahoo jackpot for today.

With things looking up, we made a tank of Flying fish, and we are looking forward to our next day of fishing. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
