Hello everyone;
Our weather continues to be wonderful, with clear skies, flat seas, and warm days.

We had an excellent day of fishing. Our day was spent offshore looking for kelps, and boy did it pay off. We had limit style fishing on Yellowtail. The Yellowtail were in the 12 to 18 pound catogory, with many going 22 to 25 pound range, and few over 30 pounds. We caught fish on Sardines and Iron today. With the water temperature moving up, the Dorado are making a strong showing also.

By late afternoon, we started heading south. Our next destination is Cedros Island. We should arrive to the island around 08:00 hours. With good reports from the island, we hope to top off our Yellowtail catch, and may be get a few White Sea Bass or Halibut. So with that note, we will close for now, and we will keep you posted on our daily reports. The R/p crew.

Slow day on the R/p (072108)

Hello everyone;
Today was a test for the crew and passengers of the Royal Polaris. We had excellent weather, with clear skies and a slight breeze out of the north. But, fishing on the other hand was not so good. The problem was not finding the fish, it was finding biting fish.

We saw plenty of fish all day long. If this was a test of finding fish, we all had A's, but they did not want to bite. We would stop on school after school, but no luck. The day was not a total lost, we ended up with 15 Albacore (22 to 35 pound catogory), 14 Bluefin (little guys), 11 Yellowtail (12 to 15 pounds), 4 Yellowfin tuna (baby giants), and a few Dorado (flat heads).

So tomorrow we will give it the old collage try again. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted. The R/p crew (Billy, Dharyl, Aaron, Eddie, Cole, Rafeal, James, and Tony).

Hello everyone;

We arrived to Fisherman's landing at 06:30 hours. We off loaded our passengers, loaded fuel and food, and departed by 10:00 hours. We have a good load of bait. We are now headed points south in hopes of finding some fish to cooperate with us.

This is HI's second annual 5 day trip, and we have a great group. Billy Santiago will be at the helm this trip. On our way south we did encounter a few kelps that had Dorado. We spent some time catching a few Dorado and a couple of Yellowtail.

So until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew (Billy, Dharyl, Eddie, Cole, Rafeal, Aaron, James, and Anthony).

Hi folks-
Today the quality yellowtail decided to bite again. We caught 79 yellows from 18-35 pounds along with 2 bluefin and 3 yellowfin tuna, all on the anchor. The tuna showed themselves again today, breezeing up close to the boat and boiling on our chum but they avoided most of our offerings. Tomorrow we will be in the albacore grounds trying to top off our trip with some longfins. Until tomorrow...

Hi folks-
From yesterday at 5pm till 11pm we scratched out 64 beautiful yellows. Our largest topped 50 pounds and the average size was about 25 pounds. We also caught one yellowfin tuna though we did see very good sign of tuna but they were not willing to bite. We are going to try our luck here again today and hope the tuna get hungry. We wil let you know how we do tonight.

Hi Folks-
Today we had a great afternoon of catching big yellows. We ended up with 45 yellows from 22-50 pounds and we also caught a 35 pound yellowfin tuna all on the anchor. There was good sign of tuna around but they did not want to cooperate and bite. We are going to try the same area tomorrow and hope the tuna will be more aggressive. Have a great night; we will check back with you later.
