Hello Everyone, Fishing started out a little on the tough side this morning. Our weather picked up through the night and we woke up to partly cloudy skies and a stiff 18-20 knot breeze that continued all day long. We scratched our way throughout the morning and by lunch we put together mixed bag of Wahoo, tuna, and even a few Dorado to go with it. Fortunately our luck changed in the afternoon with a steady yellowtail bite that kept us busy all the way into dark. The yellows were all good size 15-20lbers with most of the fish coming on dropper loops and yo-yo jigs. Tomorrow morning we will be back on the prowl and hope to find some more biting fish. Wish us luck.

More fun fishing (102709) |
Hello Everyone, We had another fun day of fishing again today aboard the Royal Polaris. We were able to scratch away at the Wahoo all day long. Most of the fish were in the 20-30lb class, but we did have a few nicer ones pushing towards the 50lb mark. We also had some fun action on nice grade Yellowfin as well today. The tuna were a mixed grade but the majority of our catch was in the 25-30lb class. Our weather today was very enjoyable with lots of sunshine and a mild 8-10 knot breeze. Tomorrow we will be in the same area trying to find some more Wahoo and tuna. Wish us luck.

Things turn around (102609) |
Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be excellent, with a slight breeze, clear skies, and sunny. We have just enough wind to keep the kites up with balloons.
Today our fishing was a bit slower, with only a scratch. The quality was excellent, but the numbers were just not what we were hoping for. The Yellowfin were in the 60 to 90 pound range, but the Yellowtail were in the 25 to 30 pound range. The Wahoo are excellent quality, with most going over 40 pounds.
Once the sun started to set, Roy made the decision to make a move. So we pulled our anchor and we are now headed east. We will try our luck on the ridge, starting tomorrow. So wish us luck, and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Just another day (102409) |
Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be excellent with flat seas, clear skies, and sunny. We had another good day of fishing. We had Yellowfin, Yellowtail, Dorado, and Wahoo coming over the rail. It was good quality fishing today.
Most of the Yellowfin were in the 50 to 70 pound catogory, with a few going close to the 100 pound mark. The Wahoo we landed were in the 40 to 65 pound range, with good size Alijos rocks Yellowtail. We made the move to the bank (outside Alijos).
After dinner, we caught some bait and Yellowtail, then the sharks moved in. We will move back to the rocks in the morning, and hopeful thing will still be on the upswing. Wish us luck, and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
